Carroll's Country Christmas Trees: More Than a Place to Get a Tree

Carroll's Country Christmas Trees sells pre-cut and you-cut trees, including Nordmans, Nobles, Grands, and Douglas firs, with enough variety that the farm likes to say everyone can find their perfect tree. But the lot is only the beginning. A hayride, a sweet shop, food trucks, and a custom-built Christmas tree house for kids round out an afternoon that is designed to feel like more than a shopping trip.

The farm puts a particular emphasis on the moment a tree goes up at home. 'We've really tried to put a special touch in, of like Christmas magic, on everything,' one of the family members behind the operation explains in the video. That care shows up in the range of species on offer and in the details layered across the property, from the music to the decorations, all aimed at making the visit itself part of the holiday.

The farm has been part of its local community for over 35 years, long enough that some of today's regulars started coming as young children. 'It's really special to see people make this part of their Christmas tradition,' says the family member featured in the video, who grew up on the property and recently returned home after college. The farm was started when her parents were young, and the faces that return each season are a living record of that history.

For the person running Carroll's today, moving back to the Junction City area after college was a deliberate choice. She describes valuing the way people in small towns look out for one another and put family first, values she says are woven into how the farm is run. Watching the surrounding community thrive, and being a working part of it, is something she names as one of the reasons the business matters to her beyond the holiday season itself.
