A Family Business Built Around Whole-Person Care
Holistic Family Medicine brings together four types of providers under one roof to focus on health, wellness, and disease prevention for patients of all ages in Eugene.
The Practice
Holistic Family Medicine is built on a simple but uncommon premise: that healing already lives within the patient, and the provider's job is to support it. The practice draws on a team that includes an osteopathic physician, a chiropractic physician, a naturopathic physician, and a nurse practitioner, giving patients access to a range of perspectives in a single setting.
How They Work With Patients
New patients receive 60-minute appointments, with 30-minute follow-up visits, so there is real time to understand each person's health goals and work through whatever they are facing. The practice grounds its care in what it calls the foundational principles of lifestyle medicine, including stress reduction, exercise, nutrition, and deep restorative sleep. Family medicine, one provider explains, makes it possible to care for patients across generations and to watch them grow up over time.
“We realize that the magic is really happening within the patient, so the healing, the patient has the healing within them, so we try to support our patients through the foundational principles of lifestyle medicine.”

A Genuinely Family Business
The family connection at Holistic Family Medicine is not just a name. The practice is a family business in the most literal sense, with the founders' children now working alongside them. Long-term patients who have been with the practice for over a decade have watched those children grow up, and now see them at the front desk, a detail the practice's founder describes as gratifying and fulfilling.
Rooted in Eugene
Outside the office, the people behind Holistic Family Medicine are deeply tied to the place they work. Five members of the team are taking part in Eugene Marathon weekend as part of the corporate challenge, representing the practice on their race shirts. Gardening, cooking together, family meals, and camping in the Oregon outdoors are all part of the picture they paint of life here, which fits naturally with the practice's emphasis on wellness as something lived every day.
